DU inks Mou with Copenhagen University

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka (DU) and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark was signed on Thursday to conduct researches and joint degree programs. Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman presided over the MoU signing ceremony, read a PR. 

DU Treasurer Prof.  Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and Head of the Department of Public Health of the University of Copenhagen Prof. Theis Lange signed the MoU on behalf of their respective university. 

Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences of DU Prof. Dr. AKM Mahbub Hasan, Chairperson of the Department of Microbiology Prof. Dr. Anowara Begum, Chairperson of the Department of Political Science Prof. Dr. Tasneem Arefa Siddiqui and Prof. Dr. Peter Jensen of the University of Copenhagen were present on this occasion. 

According to the MoU, Dhaka University and the University of Copenhagen will jointly conduct research on multidisciplinary fields including public health, climate change and migration. 

Besides, the students and faculty members of these two universities will enjoy facilities for conducting research activities especially to pursue Ph.D Degree under the joint supervision of Dhaka University and the University of Copenhagen.
