DSHE asks school students to register for vaccine

The government has decided to vaccinate school children between the ages of 12 and 18 from November 1.

Therefore, students have been instructed to register on the 'Surokkha' website or app.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) gave the directive in an office order on Thursday.

It said the information received from the students in all the educational institutions of Dhaka metropolis has been included in the correct format for registration on the ‘Surokkha’ website.

Students need to complete the registration process on an urgent basis by accessing the registration link (https://surokkha.gov.bd/birth-reg-enroll) with the birth registration number.

Regarding the selection of centers it has been said the students of the educational institutions under Dhaka North City Corporation will select 'Dhaka North City Corporation' and 'Dhaka School Center (North)' as the vaccination center.

Besides, students of educational institutions under Dhaka South City Corporation will select 'Dhaka South City Corporation' and 'Dhaka School Center (South)' as the vaccination center.

The date of vaccination and center will be informed later via SM on the mobile phone. If for any reason the registration cannot be completed in app or website, the students have to send the correct information from the educational institution in Excel file in the correct format as per the previous instructions.

Birth registration number should be sent in text format and date as (yyyy-mm-dd) format by email to (student.vaccination2021@gmail.com).
