Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has organized a luncheon in honor of Mayor of Birmingham (West Midlands) Andy Street.
Today, Monday (November 14) at noon, the noon banquet was organized in the lawn adjacent to the fountain square of the Nagar Bhavan, the head office of the South City Corporation.
Earlier, Mayor Barrister Sheikh Taposh welcomed Mayor of Birmingham (West Midlands) Andy Street on arrival at City Hall. Later, the two mayors exchanged mutual experiences on various issues related to city management and handed over memoranda of appreciation. This was followed by Andy Stitt attending the luncheon. At this time, he exchanged skills with the councilors and officials of Dhaka South City Corporation present there.
He also thanked everyone present including the Mayor of the Corporation for organizing the luncheon. Finally, the Mayor of Birmingham planted a rose in the City Hall square.
At this time, the acting chief executive officer and secretary of the corporation Akramuzzaman, chief waste management officer Air Commodore Sitwat Naeem, chief engineer Saleh Ahmed, general manager of transportation.
Haider Ali, chief health officer Dr. Fazle Shamsul Kabir along with the department heads of various departments of the corporation, the number one member of the mayor's panel and the councilor of the 46th ward. Shahid Ullah along with Mayoral panel members, presidents and members of standing committees and councilors of the corporation were present.
Noting that Birmingham (West Midlands) of United Kingdom visited Bangladesh for the first time. He reached Dhaka on the afternoon of November 13. The itinerary mentions that he will attend a few functions in Sylhet tomorrow and leave Dhaka in the evening.
