Drug trader woman starts new life

A woman of village Iswachandrapur in Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga district has turned her life around with a positive business leaving drug business after releasing from jail recently. 

Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner (DC), gave a swing machine to run her business. 

The woman is identified as Tuli Khatun, 30, daughter of Akbar Ali of village Iswachandrapur in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district. 

According to sources, a court of Chuadanga convicted her in a drug case for 5 years. 

After the declaration of the verdict she was in Chuadanga jail. During her staying in jail she worked making different type of handicraft articles. 

Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner (DC), visited to jail, discussed with inmates of jail as his routine work andobserved her making female dresses. 

At one stage she was asked to meet with Deputy Commissioner Nazrul Islam Sarker after completing her conviction of jail. Accordingly she met with Nazrul Islam Sarker, DC, of Chuadanga and was given a swing machine for business. 

Tuli Khatun said, she wants to live with honor in the society through positive business like dress making and to sell cloths among the villagers. 

Nazrul Islam Sarker, DC, said, `Men of Chuadanga will never bow down to drug.
