Drug trader surrenders to police

A drug trader surrendered to Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chuadanga on March 10. He went there along with his family members. The drug trader is Sona Miah, 38, son of Abul Hossain of village Rangiarputa at Chuadanga sadar upazila. He is accused in five cases of drug selling.

Sona Miah appeared at SP office along with his sons Sohan Hossain, 18, Shohag Hossain, 15, Sohorab Hossain, 4, Swadhin Hossain, 2 and wife Jhorna Begum and surrendered to Jahidul Islam, SP.

According to a press release issued from SP office, Sona Miah expressed his wish for leaving his drug business for ever. He would like to lead his life under the rules and regulation of the state. He also vowed before the SP that he would never involve himself at the business of drug or other anti-social activities. A drug trader along with his family members surrendered to Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chuadanga on March 10.
