Drug dealer held with 40 bottles of Phensedyl

Ishwardi Railway Junction Station Police have arrested a drug dealer with 40 bottles of phensedyl. He was arrested from the south yard area of platform number two of the station around 4:30 pm on Tuesday.

The arrested drug dealer is Rubel Haque (45). He is the son of late Alauddin of Mirpur, Kushtia. According to Railway Police sources, a team of Railway Police conducted a search operation at around 4.15 pm on Tuesday on the basis of secret information that Rubel Haque was staying in the south yard of Ishwardi Railway Junction Station Platform No. 2 with the intention of  smuggling phensedyl on the Dhaka-bound intercity Benapole Express train.

After sensing police presence, Rubel tried to flee from there. However, he was caught by the police with 40 bottles of phensedyl in his bag.

Railway Junction Station Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Gopal Kumar said Rubel Haque was an identified drug dealer. 

He has been involved in selling and trading the drug Phensedyl in different parts of the country including his own area for a long time. 

A case was filed against him under the Narcotics Act at Ishwardi Rail Junction Station Police Station. He was sent to jail through Pabna court on Wednesday.
