The executive committee of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Saturday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
Members of DRU executive committee led by DRU President Syed Shukur Ali Shuvo placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the architect of Bangladesh's independence.
DRU Joint General Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman, Sports Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, Cultural Secretary Md. Monowar Hossain, Welfare Secretary Tanvir Ahmed, Executive Committee Members Syed Shipon, Muhibullah Muhib and former Information Technology and Training Secretary Abdul Hai Tuhin, among others, were present.
A special prayer was offered seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15, 1975 carnage as well as martyrs of the Bangladesh War of Liberation in 1971.
