Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) Friday celebrated International Women's Day 2024 in a befitting manner likewise every year.
The programme included bringing out a colorful procession and cutting a cake with the participation of its women members.
Led by DRU President Syed Shukur Ali Shuvo and General Secretary Mohiuddin Ahmed, the procession was brought out at 11 am from DRU premises.
After parading streets, it ended on the premises of DRU.
DRU Finance Secretary Md Zakir Hussain, Organizing Secretary Khalid Saifullah, Women Affairs Secretary Mahmuda Dolly, Publicity and Publications Secretary Sushanta Kumar Saha, Information Technology and Training Secretary Md. Rashim (Rashim Mollah), Sports Secretary Md. Mahbubur Rahman, executive members Farhana Yasmin (Juthi), Rafiq Mridha, Md. Shariful Islam and former leaders of DRU and members of the organization joined the rally.
Later, a cake was cut on the occasion of the day at DRU Nasrul Hamid Auditorium.
The DRU premises and garden wore a festive look with the chat and gossip of women members wearing colorful purple sharee.
All participants of the programme were given t-shirts and gifts sponsored by Square and Unilever.
