Chittagong district administration is conducting a crackdown on drug wholesale market in Hazari Lane in Chattogram. The operation was led by four executive magistrates of the district administration on Sunday afternoon.
The executive magistrates led the operation were Shirin Akhter, Md. Umar Fariq, Ghalib Chowdhury and SM Alamgir.
Additional District Magistrate Dr Badiul Alam said the operation was being carried out with the help of law enforcement agencies to catch drug dealers at higher prices by creating an artificial drug crisis.
He said the Chittagong district administration would take strict action against those against whom evidence of selling drugs at higher prices could be found in the operation.
