Miscreants snatched an auto van after killing its driver in Natore, while snatchers stabbed a Mishuk driver to death with a sharp knife in Kishoreganj on Tuesday night
In Natore, the miscreants killed auto van driver at Hatiandaha area of Singra upazila on Tuesday. Police recovered the body from Gunaikhara area of Hatiandah on Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Bidyut Sarkar, 28, son of Nirmal Sarkar of Mathgram are. Locals informed the police after seeing his body at Gunaikhara area on Wednesday morning.
In Kishoreganj, the snatchers stabbed Paran, 18, son of Idris Ali of Latibpur union under Sadar upazila, on the main road adjacent to the Bailey bridge at Rashidabad Sagara Biswaroad in Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila. After this incident, police arrested a snatcher named Md. Sharif, 18, son of Abdul Salam of Mogaltuli area of Chattogram.
According to police and locals, the Mishuk carrying three passengers from Battala in Kishoreganj municipal area reached the spot around 8:00 pm on Tuesday. The passengers suddenly turned off the auto lights.
Then one of the hijackers stabbed in the neck of the Mishuk driver with a sharp knife and injured him seriously. People came forward hearing victim’s shout. Then the snatchers tried to flee from the scene but the police on patrol detained one of the snatchers. Paran was taken to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
