Authorities concerned will begin drives to evict illegal mobile kitchen markets in city’s busiest area including Dakbangla area to ensure traffic conjestion free roads in Khulna Metropolitan area very soon.
Khulna Distriction Administration will lead the drives in association with Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and Khulna City Corporation (KCC) to evict illegal kitchen markets, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Khulna Md Moniruzzaman Talukder at the monthly law and order meeting at his conference room here on Sunday.
He also requested the city dwellers who are constructing building, to remove development materials from the city’s roads to ease traffic movements. Requesting to extend cooperation to the law enforcement agencies giving specific information, the DC said drugs related cases were increased as both the administration and law enforcers have been strengthening drives against drug.
He urged to create mass awareness against early marriage, women and children repression and rape so that the criminals can’t do such crimes further.
It was informed that a total of 34,72,725 doses of inoculation has been given in the city while 15 percent city dwellers have already been given booster doses and 73 percent has been given second doses of inoculation in the district.
It was also informed that covid-19 situation is much better than last couple of months and booster doses inoculation giving programme is going on for the people aged over 18 years.
Administrator of the Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mahbub Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed, Upazila Chairmen, UNOs, among others, attended the meeting.
