The construction work of drinking water supply and development of environmental sanitation system in Gopalganj and Bagerhat Municipalities have been kicked off by Kazi Liakat Ali, Mayor of Gopalganj Municipality on Friday. Monir Engineering construction was implementing the project at a cost of Taka 14,737,500 (Taka fourteen crore seventy three lakh and seventy five thousand).
During the inaugural function, Gopalganj Municipality Mayor Kazi Liakat Ali directed the Executive Engineer of the district Public Health Engineering Dipak Chandra Talukder to finish the project works within stipulated time by ensuring quality of the works.
The inaugural function was attended, among others, by proprietor of JK polymer Industries Kamruzzaman Shikder, Asanur Rahman Hasan, Public Health Engineer AFM Hasibul Chowdhury, Masum Billah, Ujjal Mridha, Aminul Islam, Zakaria Alam, and Shahidul Islam.
The Mayor Said he believes the project will be finished within the stipulated time. He also said when the project will be completed the local people will be benefitted hugely from this project.
