Drama shooting closed off until March 31

Coronavirus panic has spread across the world. This is no exception in Bangladesh. A warning message has been issued by the government. Meanwhile, it has been decided to stop shooting of all types of TV dramas till March 31 to prevent the transmission of the virus. President of the Television Program Producers’ Association of Bangladesh confirmed the matter.

At a meeting last Wednesday night, the decision was made unanimously by representatives of the Television Program Producers' Association of Bangladesh, the Directors’ Guild, the Obhinoy Shilpi Shongho. Also present were Saju Muntasir, Iresh Zaker, SA Haque Alik and many others.

“It has been decided that the shooting of TV dramas will be stopped till March 31,” said Iresh Zaker. He added, “The next action will be taken after as per the situation demands.”

He said that some drama units will be located outside Dhaka at the moment and the decision will be implemented from March 21 or 22 - it will be conveyed to them on Thursday.

Earlier, from March 18 to April 2, it was decided that all the cinema halls of the country will remain closed.
