Ayesha Mahtab, mother of head of Interventional Hepatology Division of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Professor Dr Mamun Al Mahtab Shwapnil, has passed away. She was 77.
Ayesha Mahtab breathed her last at about 1:00 pm on Thursday (January 4, 2024) at her residence at Banani in the capital.
She left behind his only son Dr Mamun Al Mahtab Shwapnil, who is also member secretary of Sampritee Bangladesh; a daughter and a host of relatives. Her namaz-e-janaza was held at the mosque adjacent to Banani Graveyard in Dhaka after Esha prayers.
