Dr Nazmus Sakib wins South Asian Brilliance Award

Dr Nazmus Sakib, a promising Paediatrician of Bangladesh, has received the South Asian Regional Countries Brilliance Award 2022 for his tremendous wholehearted contribution to the health sector of Bangladesh and China during the pandemic.

The World Book of Star Records and Vaikalpik Chikitsa Paddhati Sanstha of Nepal conferred the awards on some outstanding contributors including him from SAARC countries. 

Dr Sakib beat more than 6500 nominees to be in the top 20s of the awardees from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

He received the award at a gala awards-giving ceremony at Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu, Nepal last month.

Former Deputy Prime Minister of NepalSujata Koirala, President of National People’s Party, NepalIndra Bahadur Thapa, Ex-member of Ministry of Ayush Government of India Dr Dinesh Upadhyay, and Founder Director of World Book of Star Records and coordinator of the program Dr Rajib Pal attended the ceremony.

Among others, prominent  singer and Brand Ambassador of World Book of Star Records Santashree Bhattacharya; Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nepal Dindayal Rizal and Mrs. India International 2019 and National Brand Ambassador for Women Empowerment and National Health Education Ambassador of India Siddhi Johra were present.

The Bangladesh Paediatrician has been living in Beijing, China for thirteen years. He did his MBBS and MD in Paediatrics from the first-ranked Capital Medical University of China. Now he is a Ph.D. fellow at the Peking University First Hospital.

Dr Sakib also has some kind of involvement with several Chinese Govt. Belt and Road Projects in Bangladesh. He has worked at the National Center for Children’s Health, Beijing Children’s Hospital, China.
