Cox's Bazar sea is very rough due to land low pressure located on Odisha coast and adjacent areas. It is raining in the morning. Cox's Bazar Meteorological Office said that local warning signal number 3 is still in force in the sea.

Abdul Hamid Mia, Chief Meteorologist of Cox's Bazar Meteorological Office, confirmed the matter at 3:30 pm on Wednesday (August 10).

He said that the land low pressure located on the Orissa coast and adjacent areas has moved westward and weakened in the form of clear low pressure and is currently located in Chhattisgarh and adjacent areas of India. It may move further north west. Due to this, there is an excess of air pressure difference in the northern Bay of Bengal and the coastal areas of Bangladesh. Sea ports, north Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh may experience gale force winds.

He also said that moderate rainfall and gusty winds are blowing in Cox's Bazar intermittently since Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours (till 3 pm on Wednesday), 5 mm of rain was recorded in Cox's Bazar Sadar and 53 mm in Teknaf. And the maximum temperature is 30.7 degrees Celsius.

This officer of Cox's Bazar Meteorological Office said that due to the effect of clear low pressure and excess of air pressure difference, the coastal Jelancox's Bazar and the low areas of their remote islands and chars may be flooded with wind-driven tides of 02-04 feet higher than the normal tide.

Fishing boats and trawlers in the sea have been asked to move cautiously close to the coast until further notice.

Additional Superintendent of Police of Cox's Bazar Tourist Police Region. Rezaul Karim said, 'Tourists are being discouraged from entering the water due to rough seas. Mikeing is being done by the tourist police to raise the awareness of the tourists. The Tourist Police is always vigilant to ensure the safety of tourists.
