Dorielton slammed a hat-trick, as Abahani Limited blanked Rahmatganj MFS to return into winning ways in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League football on Sunday at Shahid Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium, Tongi.
In the other match of the day at the Bir Sreshtha Flight Lt. Matiur Rahman Stadium, Munshiganj, Sheikh Russel Kira Chakra obtained their first win defeating Saif Sporting Club by a solitary goal.
Abahani Limited, after making a winning start defeating Bangladesh Muktijoddah Sangsad KC, dropped points to Police Sporting Club after a one all draw in the very second match and grabbed a comfortable 3-0 win over Rahmatganj in the third encounter.
Dorielton, who scored two goals in previous two matches with the winning strike in the first match and the equalizer at the injury period in the second match, led the Sky Blue to make comeback. Dorielton scored all three goals in a span of six minutes in opening 45 minutes of the match when he opened the account on 40 minutes.
It was a tremendous pressure on Rahmatganj area when Abahani just squeezed the Old Dhaka outfit with a series of strong attacks and Dorielton looked indomitable. The Brazilian came to break the deadlock 40th minute and doubled the margin three minutes later and completed the first hat-trick of the ongoing league in the added time of first half (3-0).
Rahmatganj, who played final in the Federation Cup against Abahani, though restricted the title contenders in the full second half to add any more goals but failed to reduce even a goal.
In the other match, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra, who drew their successive previous two matches, tasted first win defeating Saif Sporting Club.
Aizer scored the all-important goal of the match on 39 minutes for Russel to halt Saif, who suffered their first defeat after winning their first two matches in a row.
