Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo said that he is hoping to revamp Bangladesh Test team in 2020. Domingo is currently having a close look at the Bangladeshi player’s performance in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League but it looked apparent that he is focusing on red-ball cricket, reports Cricfrenzy.

Bangladesh record in Test cricket is very downward curve as they have lost to Afghanistan at home while they have lost both Test matches to India inside three days during the following series. “We have to play abroad more this year and we will be playing around 10 Test matches. My first objective is to build a good Test team because if we play good Test cricket than we will play the other two formats automatically well,” he said.

“We are going to play two T-20 global tournaments which we want to do well. We have to make long term plan and build the team,” he said. Domingo said that he wants cricketers who are interested to play longer version cricket.

“We want cricketers who want to play Test cricket. We have to have three pacers for Test cricket and need some changes in our batting order. We need players who are performers and can bat for long time as well,” said Domingo adding that Tigers need to have competitive cricket in NCL and BCL.

“We need competitive first-class cricket and some team changes as well. NCL and BCL is played in good wicket, I hope we will have more good wickets. I think we need to give sporting condition to the players so both batsman and bowlers can have equal benefit,” he said adding he is keeping an eye on BBPL  “I am not able to watch cricket on TV but keeping an eye on scorecard regularly. Lot of new faces is doing well. Dhaka pacer Hasan Mahmud, Chattogram pacer Mehedi Hasan Rana, Khulna pace bowler Suman khan and Mughdo is bowling with pace.

“We have to bring them in one network. They should play in A team and HP team. If they play in sporting condition, we will have more good cricketers. Off-spinner Mehedi Hasan is doing well. He can be a good all-rounder. He has scored two fifties. But I am worried leg spinner Aminul Islam Biplob is not getting a chance to  play,” he said.
