The Department of Environment (DoE) carried out an awareness campaign on noise pollution in Shahbagh area in the city on Thursday (August 24, 2023).
The ‘Integrated and Partnership Project on Noise Pollution Control’ project of the DoE arranged the event. Representatives from different environmental organisations and rights bodies, including Work for a Better Bangladesh (WBB) Trust and Chhayatol Bangladesh; participated in the event.
Teachers and students from various schools in the capital, including Rayerbazar High School and Dhaka Ideal Cadet School , also participated in the event.
During the campaign, leaflets on noise pollution control were distributed among the pedestrians and drivers.
