Documentary of Bangabandhu ‘Khuje Phiri Pitar Podochinho’ unveiled

In Moulvibazar, a special documentary titled ‘Khuje Phiri Pitar Podochinho’ featuring all the places in the district that has been visited by the Father of the Nation Bangaband Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been unveiled at the initiative of the district administration.

The unveiling ceremony of the documentary was held at Moulvibazar Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall on Wednesday. The Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate change Md Shahab Uddin, MP joined the unveiling ceremony as the chief guest through a video conference.

Moulvibazar-3 MP Neshar Ahmed, Moulvibazar-Habiganj reserved seat MP Johra Alauddin, Moulvibazar Zila Parishad Chairman Misbahur Rahman, Mayor Md Fazlur Rahman, Upazila Chairman Kamal Hossain and others were present at the event as special guests. 

Former District Freedom Fighter Commander Jamal Uddin and I News Editor Hasanat Kamal also spoke on the occasion. District administration officials, heads of various departments and journalists were present at the time.

The chief guest Md Shahab Uddin, MP, said the context of making the documentary ‘Khuje Phiri Pitar Podochinho’ about Bangabandhu is proof that Bangabandhu is a leader of marginalized people. Besides, the deep connection that Bangabandhu had with the tea workers of Moulvibazar and the people of Haor areas has come to light. If the memory of Bangabandhu is preserved in every district in this way and the flow of events will be preserved, the history of a huge struggle of Bangabandhu will be preserved across the country.

On the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence, the district administration has made this 23 minute and 30 second video documentary in remembrance of him with heartfelt love and humble respect. Bangabandhu has visited Moulvibazar more than once. The documentary highlights Bangabandhu's close relationship with the land and people of Moulvibazar.
