Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ will film more reshoots in November and December. The sequel to 2016's Doctor Strange, which is the fifth movie on the MCU's Phase 4 slate after ‘Black Widow’, ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, ‘Eternals’, and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, is being directed by the prolific helmer Sam Raimi.

Benedict Cumberbatch is returning to reprise his role as Dr Stephen Strange, Marvel's powerful sorcerer. In the film, Stephen will continue to research on the Time Stone. But after his former mentor, Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) takes a villainous turn, the Master of Mystic Arts will let loose ferocious energy with dire consequences.

As with most movies last year, production on ‘Doctor Strange 2’ was wracked with hiccups and delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming originally began in November 2020, but due to a lockdown in the UK, it was delayed until January 2021. Shooting then continued until mid-April without any interruptions, and the post-production, additional photography, and preliminary reshoots were also completed by October.

At that time, it seemed that ‘Doctor Strange 2’ would make it to its March 25, 2022, premiere date, but last week, Disney delayed the movie until May 6, 2022, while also pushing back 4 other MCU movies, including ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, ‘The Marvels’, and ‘Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania’.

Now, Benedict Cumberbatch has additionally confirmed in a new interview on the ‘Today show’ (via ‘Doctor Strange 2’ Updates) that ‘Doctor Strange 2’ will undergo additional reshoots in November and December. He explained that the reshoots are a part of the process to make the movie "even better," although he did not go into the details about the specific scenes.     -We Got This Covered
