Dhaka North City Corporation has suspended Md Mizanur Rahman, acting executive engineer of Zone 05, for negligence of duty.
The suspension order signed by DNCC Secretary Muhammad Asaduzzaman was issued on Thursday afternoon.
According to the office order, administrative action was taken after inspections found various irregularities in ongoing road construction and repair works in Mohammadpur area under DNCC Zone 05.
On Wednesday, State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj visited several road construction and repair sites in Mohammadpur area.
During the inspection, cracks, subsidence and other defects were identified at different locations.
