Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) wants to use the experience of the United States to build a waste-free smart city. About 2.8 million people live in the city of Miami. Although the population is less than that of Dhaka North City Corporation, the waste generation there is almost twice as much. Miami generates approximately 4,200 tons of waste per day. In addition, in the Dhaka North City Corporation area, about 3 thousand tons of garbage is generated daily. A large number of these communities have two separate institutions for waste disposal. Officially, Miami-Dade County waste is collected and landfilled to produce ash. And that wet ash is turning the surrounding area into big dunes.

Practical experience of how so much waste management is done is highlighted in this day-long workshop.

DNCC mayor highlighted the promise to use the experience of the city of Miami. Mayor Atiqul Islam said, 'The city of Miami is smaller than us in terms of population. But the daily waste generated here is more than DNCC.

A large amount of this waste management is modern. For almost 40 years this waste is being burned in the treatment plant. However, Dhaka North City Corporation has given importance to the latest technology. Therefore, Aminbazar land field has been prepared with all modern equipment.

DNCC Mayor said, 'DNCC will be developed using the experience here. In order to enhance the efficiency of the officials of DNCC, on-site inspection has been arranged in the city of Miami.

He also said, 'I want to use the city development of Miami. In Miami, two large mounds or mountains have been built next to the sewage treatment plant.'
