DMP’s anti-narcotics drive continues

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) continued its anti-narcotics operation in the capital city. 

As part of the anti-narcotics drive, the DMP in different operations in the 24 hours till 6:00 am on Sunday (August 13) arrested 36 people for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.

On information, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in various areas in the city and seized drugs and arrested drug sellers and abusers. 

The matter was confirmed through DMP press release issued on Sunday.

The law enforcers seized 782 pieces of Yaba tablets, 7.4kg 80 puria of hemp, 5gm 190 puria of heroin, 100gm ice and 150 ml of vodka from their possessions, the press release said. 

According to the DMP press release, a total of 29 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.

Earlier, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Saturday (August 12) arrested 60 people for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.

The DMP in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Friday (August 11) arrested 60 people for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
