Dhaka Metropolitan Police in special anti-drug operation arrested 50 people from different areas of the city in last 24 hours.
Md Faruque Hossain, deputy commissioner (media and public relations) of DMP confirmed it on Sunday.
They also seized huge amount of drug from their possession.
Around 46,026 Yaba tablets, 172 grams of heroin, and 25.655 kilograms of hemp were recovered during the drives in different areas.
Police personnel from different police stations and detective branch (DB) of the DMP were engaged in the anti-drug operation.
A total of 40 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
