DJAB mourns air force jet crash at Uttara college

The Defence Journalist Association of Bangladesh (DJAB) has expressed profound grief over the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) fighter jet in Uttara, Dhaka, which claimed the lives of 20 people, including the pilot, and injured 171 others.

In a statement issued on Monday (21 July), DJAB President Alamgir Hossain and General Secretary Ahamed Ullah, along with members of the executive committee, extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by this sudden tragedy,” the statement read.

The organisation also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant strength to the parents of the young students who perished, to endure this unbearable loss. 

DJAB offered prayers for the salvation of the departed souls and wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the incident.
