Diwali, a festival of Hindu community was observed with festive mood in Chuadanga on Sunday.
All buildings of Maruary community and their business establishment were decorated with flowers and lightings. Ritual formalities were observed at temples, houses and business centres. The Goddess "Kali' was immersed in the river of Mathabhanga.
ChittoronjonSahaChitu, inhabitant in Chuadanga Town said that police were deployed at different points of the areas to maintain law and order. No untoward activity found here.
