Khulna district administration has taken an innovative initiative to market the products of marginal farmers, poultry and dairy farmers through mobile apps amid this nationwide lockdown to prevent coronavirus infection.
Under the supervision of Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain, the buyer will be able to shop at a fair price from home through the app called 'Hater Muthoi Kacha Bazar'.
Vegetables, fruits, etc. can be bought under the app's 'Let's do agricultural market at home' program and under the 'Digital Sundarbans Protein House' program, non-vegetarian products like eggs, milk etc. can be purchased from the app.
The app can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store. If the consumers order according to their choice, the volunteers of the district administration will deliver the goods from door to door at a fair price.
Khulna office of Livestock Department, Agriculture Marketing Department and Agricultural Extension Departmen have assisted in the implementation of this initiative of Khulna District Administration.
