Distressed woman gets house in Munshiganj marking Mujib Barsho

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of The Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Munshiganj district branch of Bangladesh Administrative Service Association has provided a four-room house to a landless family on Khas land proposed for rehabilitation of landless and homeless families. KM Ali Azam, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration, handed over the house to distressed Putul Begum in Shashanghat area of Panchasar Union recently.

Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Md. Moniruzzaman Talukder, DD LG Deputy Director SM Shafiq, District Council Chief Executive Officer Shafiqul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Deepak Kumar Roy, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hamidur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sheikh Mezbah ul Saberin, Panchasar UP Chairman Haji Golam Mostafa, Union Land Deputy Assistant Officer Md. Abul Khair Shamim, Panchasar UP Secretary Ruhul Amin were present on the occasion. Putul Begum said, “I am very happy to get this house. I have spent my whole life renting a house with my sons and daughters. I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and all concerned.” 

District Administration later said that such humanitarian movement will be continued to help the distressed families in the area.
