Officials of Faridpur district administration has distributed donation cheques among distressed locals of nine upazilas of the district. Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarker as the chief guest distributed taka 50,000 each to 150 people on Sunday. A total of tk 7.5 million was distributed.
Additional Director of district social welfare department ASM Ali Ahsan presided over the cheque distribution programme. FaridpurSadar Upazila Parishad chairman Abdur Razzak Molla, UNOs from nine Upazilas were also present at the program.
These cheques were distributed among the poor and sick people under the financial assistance program implemented by the Department of Social Services.
