Family members of Freedom Fighters formed a human chain in Bogura district town on Sunday protesting JCD activists’ visit to Shaheed Minar wearing shoes and committing vandalism there.
Chairman of Bogura Zila Parishad Freedom Fighter Dr Mokbul Hossain, former district commander of Muktijudhya Sangsad Ruhul Amin Bablu, sadar upazila commander Abdul Quader, district Awami League leader Jahurul Haque Bulbul and Freedom Fighter’s son and former president of Bogura district Chhatra League Al Razi Juyel spoke at the human chain, among others. Speakers of the human chain demanded exemplary punishment of the JCD men those who were involved in the vandalism of Shaheed Minar. They said that the JCD is engaged in terrorism in the name of politics.
The JCD men on January 1 vandalized Shaheed Minar with their shoes on at Shaheed Khokon Park. They went there marking founding anniversary of the organisation.
