A discussion was held on what to do to prevent juvenile gangs in Netrakon's Durgapur upazila on Saturday.
Durgapur Upazila Chhatra League organized the discussion at zila parishad auditorium in the evening.
Local MP Mustaque Ahmed Ruh was present at the programme.
Upazila Chhatra League joint convener Amit Akanji presided over the programme where Bangladesh Awami League central committee member Raymond Arang, Freedom Fighter Abdul Jabbar Mal, Upazila Awami League president Osman Gani Talukdar, general secretary Shafiqul Islam, former general secretary Sajjadur Rahman, Small Minorities Cultural Academy Director Sujan Hajong, Principal Faruk Ahmed Talukdar, Durgapur Upazila Chairman (Acting) Parvin Akter, Press Club General Secretary Md Jamal Talukder, Municipal Mayor Maulana Abdus Salam, Advocate Manesh Saha, Former Mayor Sh Zainal Abedin participated. Apart from this, the people present expressed their opinion about what can be done to prevent juvenile gangs in their respective areas. Speakers said, nobody likes terrorists. They are the scourge of the society, to eradicate them from the society, everyone must work together. Upazila administration, public representatives, social, cultural and political leaders were invited to come forward.
