Disabled creates jobs for others in Rangpur

Being physically disabled does not mean that they have to live at the mercy of others or they cannot do anything. If there is strong will power, people with disabilities can be established in the society. Jitu Roy of Rangpur who is a disable person has shown this proof. The neglect of friends, classmates, relatives and neighbors could not stop him. Jitu with disabilities has not only made himself self-reliant without being a burden to the society, he has also created employment opportunities for many through his will and intelligence. Not being able to move normally, Jitu is now an entrepreneur, an exemplary example of winning the battle of life.

It is learned that Jitu Roy, the disabled son of Mahendra Roy and Manju Rani of Tajhat Mollapara area of Rangpur city. He is the eldest of three siblings. Jitu, who was born on September 9, 1988, contracted by polio three years later. After that, due to his physical disability, it was not possible for him to go to secondary school. The thought of Jitu's uncertain life left his family and relatives tensed. Understanding the family's plight for him, Jitu insisted on doing something on his own. Unable to walk like everyone else, Jitu climbed on his father's back and started the old iron-locker (bhangri) business first. Later join mobile servicing business. But it was almost impossible for him to do mobile servicing in a three-storey building. Later, Jitu Roy started dreaming of becoming a freelancer. But first he need a computer to learn freelancing to realize the dream. As a member of a needy family he could not afford buying a computer. And he faced difficulty of learning computer from others as well.

At one point, his childhood friend came forward and helped Jitu with his own computer. Jitu Roy learned the work of freelancing by watching Google and YouTube on his computer day and night for three consecutive months. The time is towards the end of 2011. He later borrowed money from his mother and bought a computer. The freelance war of Jitu Roy started. As a success, he made first 500$ in 2012 from his freelancing career. Then just the story of moving forward. Now 30 to 40 people work under his supervision in Jitu Roy's organization. Jitu regularly works for about 100 clients in the US. However, the beginning was not easy. He did not give up even in the face of thousands of obstacles on the way forward due to economic problems including physical disabilities. He is constantly running in the dream of establishing himself. Now he is a successful freelancer and entrepreneur.Although the journey of fulfilling dreams started from freelancing, Jitu is now also a successful entrepreneur. Making children's clothing items. He joined the business as an entrepreneur in 2021 to reduce import dependence of the country.

He is selling children's clothing oline by opening a website and page called Shishu Ghar.com. His organization has a few young people for online marketing. Those who deliver products with online orders. Initially, children's items were made temporarily in the backyard, but due to good response, a permanent factory has been set up. Where more than two hundred workers are working. Besides, nakshi katha for children is being made and sold online. About a hundred women sewed nakshi katha in Jitu Roy’s factory. 

Jitu Roy, a disabled person with an uncertain life, is now a successful entrepreneur. He is now the head of a prosperous and happy family with his wife, two sons and daughters, brothers and sisters and parents. 

He sought the cooperation of the government to increase the domestic self-reliance by earning foreign exchange by meeting the demand of the country including changing the destiny of the helpless people through his own work.

Jitu Roy said, "Since I came to my senses, I have seen many people laugh at me and ignore me in various ways. People used to say I can do nothing except begging. Their negative attitude towards me has been my motivation. 'Mentioning that he has come so far in his own efforts, Jitu said,' Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is doing a lot of work for the disabled, I need the cooperation of the PM to fulfill my dream.
