The Director of the Russian House in Dhaka, Alexandra Khlevnoy, held a cordial meeting with the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Minister of Science and Technology of Bangladesh, Fakir Mahbub Anam.
During the meeting, she highlighted the activities of the Russian House in Dhaka and its role in promoting cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation between Bangladesh and the Russian Federation. Scholarship opportunities for Bangladeshi students in Russian universities were also discussed.
Both sides explored upcoming areas of cooperation to further strengthen bilateral engagement.
A key highlight was the planned installation of a Yuri Gagarin bust at the National Museum of Science & Technology (NMST) on 12 April 2026, marking the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Anastasia Nemova, First Secretary, and Ms. Sofia Kutepova, Press Attaché of the Russian Embassy.
