Although the shopping frenzy in Dinajpur markets has not started yet, the number of shoppers is increasing after Iftar. The market authorities are also keeping the shops open till midnight due to the increase in the number of buyers in the market. Traders say that the market usually starts trading in full swing after the 15th of Ramadan, but many buyers start shopping in the first week of Ramadan. Now that there is no problem with Corona virus, they hope the number of customers will increase in the coming days.

After visiting Pulhat, Kachari Market, Station Road, Bahadur Bazar, NA Market, Javed Super Market, Rahim Super Market, Lilimore, Lutfarnechha Tower, Rainbow Super Market, Jail Road Market, Gulshan Market, Maldahapatti Mordan Mor, Char Suihari, Phulbari bus stand on Friday, it can be seen that the number of shoppers in several shops has increased more than before. Buyers are likely to call everyone who looks appropriate, if there are only a few. They are buying their favorite clothes at bargain prices and making their way home. Mausumi, a shopper who came to Maldahapatti in the city yesterday, said, “I have come to do some shopping for Eid. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, shopping was almost impossible for many people. But this year, I have at least got rid of that situation. This year the sellers have come up with a collection of very good dresses, but the price can be said to be a little higher.”

Sweety, a housewife who came to Javed Super Market in Bahadur Bazar, said, "I have come to get clothes for the baby. The market will be crowded in the upcoming days, so I have come to shop a little earlier.” Amin, president of Kachari Hawkers Market, said the market has seen a surge in buyers. It is a joy for the sellers. Because traders have not been able to do business for the last two years due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Traders have invested with high hopes this Eid. Kachari Hawkers Market is full of buyers of all kinds.

A shopkeeper at Lutfarnechcha Market said that the market has been seeing a lot of buyers especially since Iftar. So far, they are satisfied with the sales situation. Hopefully this time, they will be able to make up for the loss of the last two years.

Murtuza, president of the Abdur Rahim Super Market Shop Owners Association, and Swadhin, general secretary, said the market was slowly starting to freeze.

They hope the sale will start in full swing after the 15th of Ramadan.
