The leaders of Dinajpur Journalist Union demanded immediate cancellation of the recently issued information infrastructure circular as a new tool to suppress the voice of the media.

Journalist leaders said that the notification issued by the government declaring 29 institutions as critical information infrastructure under the Digital Security Act will hinder independent journalism. At the same time, it is in conflict with the Right to Information Act. This measure has been taken mainly to finalize the fear and panic created among the journalists about the Digital Security Act.
