Grassroots people are seen getting benefits from the digitized land services everywhere in Rajshahi region at present enormously leaving behind their long-lasting sufferings and harassments in the analogue system.

At present, the process of mutation and land development tax collection has been digitalized completely as part of implementation of the cashless land services. The initiative has been assisting the marginalized people in terms of getting land services.

Currently, around seventy percent people are seen coming to the land office for e-mutation services and the upazila land offices have become the trusted place for delivering land services to the grassroots and other marginalized people.

E-mutation is being judged as one of the vital services at present.

The ministry has been uploading area-wise e-mutation statements of the previous 90 days across the country in its website to make the e-mutation services more transparent and people-friendly. Abhijit Sarker said e-mutation service delivery is teamwork and the service-delivery staff and service-recipients are playing pioneering roles towards making the services more effective and meaningful.

All the land offices have been asked to attain the cherished goal through performing duties with utmost sincerity and honesty. He also said they are working relentlessly to make all the land services side by side with the e-mutation more easier and people-friendly.  Hundred per cent cashless land offices have been established in the district aimed at infusing dynamism into the land service delivery activities.  In the district, the service-recipients can complete their respective land services, including mutation, payment of revenues and other fees and withdrawal of money receipt, from their house using online.

Md. Imtiaz Hossain, Additional Commissioner (Revenue) of Rajshahi Division, said the present government has been implementing a plan for building a smart Bangladesh based on four pillars- smart citizen, smart society, smart economy and smart governance.  He said the government has been working relentlessly to reach the land services to the doorsteps of the public in general through promoting automation in this field. The people are getting land records easily as a result of record room automation.
