Digital era in education system: Tipu Munshi

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said that the present government has introduced digital era in education system to expand quality education for turning present day students into worthy citizens, reports BSS. “Meritorious students are national resources and assets to take the country forward through flourishing their innovative and intellectual talents to further accelerate development,” the minister said.

Tipu Munshi said this at a function held at Kawnia upazila parishad auditorium on Saturday late afternoon for distribution of education stipends among meritorious students, grants among patients and dry foods as relief goods among flood-hit people of the upazila. He distributed Taka 3.38-lakh as stipends among 168 meritorious students from upazila parisahd’s fund and grants of Taka 3.18 lakh among 39 patients and 1,000 packets of dry foods among 1,000 flood-hit people from his own funds.

The minister said education is the backbone of any nation and that there is no alternative to time-befitting quality education for the nation. Those who are more educated will always be more developed. “The students should be properly educated in accordance with the changing era,” he said and suggesting parents to properly look after their children so that evil forces in the society cannot misguide them.

With Kawnia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ulfat Ara Begum in the chair, Upazila Parishad Chairman Anwarul Islam Maya, its Vice-chairmen Abdur Razzaque and Angura Begum and Upazila Secondary Education Officer Zakir Hossain addressed the function as special guests.
