Digital Bangladesh Day was observed in Jhenaidah with a slogan on Sunday. Organised by Jhenaidah district administration, a floral wreath was placed at the mural of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Prerona Ekattor o Sunday. Jhenaidah district police and some other departments also paced the wreaths at the same mural.
A discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the deputy commissioner with additional deputy commissioner in Education and ICT Salma Selim in the chair. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mozibor Rahman attended the discussion as chief guest.
Superintendent of police (SP) Muntasirul Islam, deputy Director local government Yearul Islam, District Council secretary Reza E Rafin Chowdhury, additional deputy commissioner (general) Selim Reza, additional SP Anwar Sayeed among others spoke. The speakers urged upon everybody to make the country self-helped in ICT and other timely technology for a better Bangladesh which was dreamed off by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Later prizes were distributed among the winners in poetry recitation and presentation competition.
