The 3rd ‘Digital Bangladesh Day-2019’ was observed here today through holding various programmes aiming to educate the people on ICT-based services to build a technologically advanced country, reports BSS.
The theme of the day this year is ‘Sattyo-Mittha Jachae Agey, Internet Share Porey’ (Verify the accuracy before sharing on the Internet).
Khulna District Administration and ICT Division have chalked out day-long elaborate programmes marking the day.
Along with brought out colourful processions, as part of the central programmes, discussions, seminars, distributed prize among students, online presentation on Digital Bangladesh, essay, painting and quiz competitions held at Sheikh Russel International Tennis Complex adjoining circuit house in the city.
Divisional Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Anwar Hossain Hawlader addressed the meeting as chief guest while deputy commissioner (DC) Md. Helal Hossain in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Md. Golam Mainuddin Hasan delivered the welcome while additional police commissioner Sardar Raqibul Islam, police super S M Shafiullah, deputy-director (Health) Dr. Sayeed Jahangir Hossain, spoke, among others.
The chief guest said Bangladesh like other countries has been successfully building and modernizing its digital infrastructures – government information systems, registers, electronic services for citizens,e-Gp, businesses and for international cooperation.
