DIFF ends with promise of making better films

The 19th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) ended on Sunday (January 24). The festival started on January 16. The inaugural ceremony of the event was held at the main auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum.

Echoing the slogan “Better Film, Better Audience and Better Society”, the 19th edition of DIFF officially began this year.

The main agenda of this year’s festival was to make better films to make a better society.

Artistes performed at the closing ceremony of the 19th International Film Festival at the main auditorium of the National Museum in the capital on Sunday.

Rainbow Chalachchitra Sangsad organised the festival participated by 73 countries. A total of 227 films, including 41 Bangladeshi movies, were screened at the fiesta.

The films were being screened under segments namely Asian Cinema Competition Section, Legendary Leaders who Changed the World, Tribute, Retrospective, Bangladesh Panorama Showcase, Cinema of the World Section, Children Films Section, Women, Filmmakers Section, Short and Independent Films Section and Spiritual Films Section.
