Patients of diarrhoea have been rushing to Chuadanga sadar hospital recently.

Doctors and nurses are trying their best to serve the patients.  According to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, a total of 68 diarrhoea patients were admitted till August 23.

However, the hospital authority could not give saline to the patients due to shortage of it. For this reason, diarrhoea patients are purchasing it from outside.

Please help me. ' Mentionable, diarrhoea patients of Jibannagar, Damurhuda and Alamdanga upazilas do not go to health complexes for treatment. They are coming to the hospital though it is crowded.

This correspondent found that the patients do not have space in the diarrhoea ward and they are getting treatment from porch.

It is learnt that Obaidur Rahman Chowdhury Jipu, Mayor of Chuadanga Poursabha and Chuadanga Sadar Nirbahi Officer donated 120 bags of saline for the patient on August 22.

Dr Shamim Kabir said doctors and nurses are very attentive to the patients. We are trying to overcome the situation. Besides we are giving advice how to prevent diarrhoea. Hope that this situation will improve very soon.

ASM Maruf Hasan, CS, said a request letter has been sent to higher authority for supplying saline.
