Recently, Bobby Deol dedicated a video for COVID-19 warriors, where he recited a poem, for the first ever time.
Though it was his firsthand experience at reciting the poetry, Yeh Chand Roz Ki Baat Hai written by Sanjay Masoomm, poems have been a major part of his life. It is his father, and actor Dharmendra who has a talent of writing poems.
Talking about the same, Bobby says, “My dad writes lovely poems. He writes a lot. In fact he has books full of poems which he has written.” Bobby says that it is a treat to listen to these poems when Dharmendra does the recital.
“I think it is the best time when he recites his poems and you sit by him and listen to them. He uses such amazing Urdu words and he even explains them to you.”
Ask Bobby if he never tried his hand at poetry and he says, “It is not easy to put words together on a piece of paper. My dad does it well, but I never got it from him. I wish I had that talent.” -TOI
