Today is the 12th death anniversary of ‘Natacharya’ Selim Al Deen. The Dhaka Theater, a leading theater troupe of Bangladesh, has organized a special day in memory of him.
At 8:00am today, the thespians will travel by bus to the Natakchariya’s place of work, Jahangirnagar University, from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy to pay tribute. There will be a memorial procession at 10:00am from the old Arts building of the university to the tomb of Selim Al Deen. They will pay homage to Natyacharya’s tomb at 10:30pm.
At 7:00pm, the Dhaka Theater will stage ‘Khwabjaner Pala’ at the National Theater Hall auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy written by Sayik Siddiqi and directed by Ahir Bangla Dhaka.
