The country’s biggest pop culture festival ‘Dhaka Summer Con 2023’ has at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Thursday.
The country’s promising event management and public relations company MediaQuest Bangladesh is organising the event.
With many surprising events that includes, cosplay competitions, concerts, comic books, experience zone, kids zone, games, hip-pop, k-pop, food zone and panel discussions. Dhaka Summer Con has become a carnival of music from all the popular bands with a chance to meet your favourite superhero performances or favourite cosplay artistes.
A total of thirty music bands of the country, including ‘Artcell’, ‘Cryptic Faith’, ‘Aftermath’, ‘Sonar Bangla Circus’, ‘Ashes’, ‘Brahmaputra’, ‘Relative’, ‘Mechanics’, ‘Carnival’, ‘Black’, ‘Arbovirus’, ‘Avoid Rafa’ and ‘Warfaze’ has been performing at the three-day festival.
The festival has also feature cosplayers onstage portraying their favourite comic, superhero, and movie characters. After that, cosplayers will light up the stage with a costume play and entertain the audience with a freestyle performance. Dhaka Summer Con has become a gathering of several popular characters of Superman, spider-man, Pikachu, Naruto and whatnot.
Dhaka Summer Con 2023 convener and co-founder of MediaQuest Bangladesh Tariqul Sumon said, “We have arranged this festival for the first time with various entertaining activities. In addition to meeting favourite superhero performances or favourite cosplay artistes, Dhaka Summer Con is now a meeting place for all the popular music bands of the country. In this festival, cosplay performers of three categories- solo, group and kids, will be awarded as winners.”
The Dhaka Summer Con has started at Hall 3 and Hall 4 of the ICCB from 10:00am to 10:00pm.
It may be mentioned that, every day there will be four types ticket for the festival. Summer Con Entry Tk 400, Summer Con Concert Tk 550, Summer Con Entry & Concert Tk 800, Summer Con Entry Combo Tk 1000.
