The long-awaited "Dhaka Retro" concert took place on Friday night, bringing much-needed excitement to the capital. Hosted by Blue Brick Communications, the event featured four legendary 90s bands: Nagar Baul, Ark, Miles, and Dalchhut alongside performances by Jon Kabir, Oni Hasan, and Drockstar Shuvo.
Originally scheduled for October 18 at the Dhaka Arena in Purbachal, the concert was postponed due to security concerns. It was finally held at a secure military venue, Senaprangan, in Dhaka.
Kazi Riasat Nadid, Managing Director of Blue Brick Communications, spoke about the significance of the event. "The 1990s are often called the golden age of band music, and these bands remain an integral part of that legacy," he said. "It’s rare for these bands to perform together, and fans have been eager to see them share the stage. We're thrilled to make it happen."
The concert kicked off at 5 pm, with gates opening at 3 pm. Fans who attended were treated to a nostalgic evening that celebrated the rich music history of the 90s.
