Dhaka Divisional Commissioner meets new Gopalganj Mayor

Dhaka Divisional Commissioner (Additional Secretary) Md. Khalilur Rahman met councilors including the newly elected mayor of Gopalganj Sheikh Rakib Hossain in the conference room of his office on Sunday. Before this, he congratulated and congratulated the newly elected Gopalganj Municipal Mayor Sheikh Rakib Hossain with flowers. In turn, all the councilors were greeted with flowers on his behalf.

Incidentally, the general election of Gopalganj municipality was completed on June 15 in a fair and peaceful manner. After preparing the official gazette by Mohammad Habibur Rahman, who was employed as returning officer in that election, according to the previous decision, on July 17, Divisional Commissioner Md. Khalilur Rahman personally attended the conference room of Dhaka Divisional Commissioner's office and administered the oath to the newly elected Mayor of Gopalganj Municipality, Sheikh Rakib Hossain.

Later he also administered the oath to 5 women councilors of the reserved ward Amena Begum, Mahfuza Akhter Lipi, Khadija Parveen, Nazmeen Khanum and Achia Begum.

Then he 15 ward (ordinary ward councilor) councilor Zobair Islam Jhantu, Md. Alimuzzaman Bitu, Rashed Mohammad, Roni Hossain (Black), Khairul Islam, Abdul Jalil Khan, Shafiqur Rahman Shukti, Md. Ebadul Haque (Palash), Mohammad Nazmul Hasan (Nazim), Sheikh Rashed Ahmed (Rico), Md. Kazi Riazul Islam (Prince), Al Amin, Md. Al Amin Sikder (Qutu), Shariful Islam Sikder, Niamul Hasan (Amin) read the oath.

At this time, the director of the local government, Dhaka Divisional Office Shibir Bichitra Barua, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) Md. Main Uddin along with other leaders of Gopalganj district Awami League were present.
