Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi concluded two-day state visit in Dhaka on Saturday, marking the golden jubilee of the country and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
During the visit, he had a meeting with his counterpart Sheikh Hasina when both leaders witnessed signing of 5 MoU.
Modi also made some announcements while both leaders inaugurated some projects.
Here is the list of engagements between the leaders.
1. MoU on Disaster Management, Resilience and Mitigation
2. MoU between Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) and National Cadet Corps of India (INCC)
3. MoU on the Establishment of a Framework of Cooperation in the Area of Trade Remedial Measures between Bangladesh and India
4. Tripartite MoU on Supply of ICT equipment, courseware and reference books and training for Bangladesh-Bharot Digital Service & Employment and Training (BDSET) Center.
5. Tripartite MoU on Establishment of Sports facilities at Rajshahi College field and surrounding areas.
6. Commemorative stamps by the respective postal departments on the occasion of 50 years of Bangladesh-India friendship.
7. Symbolic gifting of 109 basic life support ambulances from the Govt of India and the Government of Bangladesh with a dummy key.
8. Handover of a box to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh to symbolize the gifting of 1.2 million doses of covishield vaccines to the Government of Bangladesh from the Govt of India.
9. Foundation stone laying of the monument at Ashuganj of Bangladesh in memory of martyred members of Indian Allied Forces in Ashuganj.
10. Joint inauguration of the extended development work at Rabindra Bhawan Kuthibari in Shilaidaha, Kushtia.
11. Ground breaking ceremony for Infrastructure Development for Power Evacuation Facilities of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant.
12. Inauguration of Mitali Express, passenger train service between Dhaka and New Jalpaiguri.
13. Playing of the video on concept of inauguration of the ShadhinataShorok at Mujibnagar. The road is proposed to connect to Kolkata via Nadia.
14. Inauguration of three new Border haats at India-Bangladesh border.
