Actor Devlina Kumar is excited about her upcoming Bengali film, Samsara. Even though the actress is tight-lipped about her role, she revealed that she’s playing a beautiful yet mysterious woman living in the woods. “There are many interesting incidents and my role is very important to build up the suspense in the film,” she said.
Talking about her best experience during the shoot, she said that while playing the character she got to wear a number of stylish dresses, which she absolutely loved. “I cannot reveal much and if you want to find out more, you will have to watch the film,” the actress added. Besides this, Devlina loved the scenic beauty of Meghalaya during the shoot. “While shooting there I found out about many unexplored locations in the state, which I feel the film industry can explore,” said Devlina.
Samsara revolves around three young men --- Atanu, Chandan and Vicky --- played by Ritwick Chakraborty, Rahul Banerjee and Indrajit Chakraborty respectively. The story starts with the trio meeting after almost 20 years. Atanu is a struggling writer, who is experiencing a writer’s block. He wants some monetary help from his two friends who are quite successful in their lives.
The three of them decide to take a trip and embark on a long journey together but what happens next starts to unravel many hidden secrets and the true meaning of friendship. The film was first shot in Kolkata for 11 days and then in the next seven days it was shot in several rural locations of Meghalaya.
