A total of 439 dengue patients have been admitted to different hospitals in the country so far this month.
The number of dengue patients has been rising in the country recently. In the last 24 hours, 51 more new patients have been admitted to different hospitals in the country due to dengue fever. The number of newly admitted patients infected with dengue on Tuesday was 73, a statement from the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Department of Health said on Wednesday.
The statement also revealed that 51 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours. Of them, 39 new dengue patients have been admitted in Dhaka and 12 new dengue patients have been admitted in hospitals across the country.
From January 1 to July 14 this year, the total number of patients admitted in different hospitals of the country is 1,528. At the same time, 1,358 patients were discharged from the hospital.
As soon as the rainy season arrives, the Aedes mosquito infestation increases. This year, the number of dengue patients has also increased. One patient has died of dengue this year.
From January 1 to December 31 last year, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital was 28,429. At the same time, 28,265 people returned home after recovering and 105 people died of dengue during this time.
